PURPOSE:To make contacts between a metal core material and a positive pole case ever so better as well as to improve the reliability of a cell, by forming the catalytic layer of a gas diffusion type air pole serving as a positive pole so as to have a burr extending as far as its periphery from the metal core material. CONSTITUTION:A gas diffusion type air pole consisting of a catalytic layer 5 having a metal core material 5' and a water-repellent resin membrane 4 is set down to a positive pole, and air is taken in from an air hole 2 of a positive pole case 1, arriving at the catalytic layer 5 after an air diffusion paper 3 and a water-repellent membrane 4 both are diffused. Hereat it undergoes electrochemistrical transformation and is reacted with a zinc negative pole 6. And, the electric energy is collected with the metal core material 5' in the catalytic layer 5 and is led into the positive pole case 1. At this time, a burr 5a of the metal core material 5' is made up on the peripheral edge of the catalytic layer 5 as long as by 0.1-0.5mm. and encased in the positive pole case 1. Therefore, with this burr 5a, not only contact resistance between the case 1 and the core material 5' can be extremely lessened but also the reliability of a cell can be improved. |
