<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To realize discrete wavelet conversion for analyzing the time/frequency characteristics of an input signal capable of reducing a circuit scale and arithmetic quantity, and analyzing a plurality of frequencies to be analyzed with the same time-resolution. <P>SOLUTION: When a scale is turned to be '2' for the basic wavelet of a frequency f indicated by a symbol A, that is, the frequency is turned to be (f/2), the intervals of coefficients W0, W1, W2 and so on are doubled without changing the coefficient values or the number of coefficients so that basic wavelets indicated by a symbol D can be considered. Generally, when the scale is turned to be 'r', the intervals of basic wavelets W0, W1, W2, and so on are r times wide. Then, their multiplied values with input signals D0, D1, D2,... (symbol F) inputted with sampling periods ST are selectively added according to the intervals of the coefficients W0, W1, W2,... of the basic wavelet. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2004,JPO</p> |
