PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a speaker system easy to be designed and adapted to obtain a more natural sound to reproduce the sound having a low-frequency range. SOLUTION: The speaker system comprises a connecting opening 30 formed by connecting a part of a first cabinet 10 to a part of a second cabinet 20. A first port is formed in the first cabinet 10, and a first speaker unit 41 provided with a diaphragm faced to the opening. A second port is formed in the cabinet 20, and a second speaker unit 42 provided so that a diaphragm is faced to the connecting opening is mounted. A mechanical vibration system of the first and second speaker units is connected in the connecting opening. A first resonance frequency to be regulated in the first cabinet is different from a second resonance frequency to be regulated in the second cabinet. COPYRIGHT: (C)2004,JPO
