PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To eliminate necessity to exchange a battery, to reduce the number of batteries to be used, and to facilitate a construction. SOLUTION: The opening/closing detection sensor is provided with a power generating part 2 for generating power by converting kinetic energy of a sliding door to electric energy when the sliding door to be moved parallel to an opening face of an opening for opening/closing the opening is translated in the direction of opening/closing the opening, a storage part 3 for charging and storing an electric power generated by the power generating part 2, a power source control part 4 for supplying the electric power to the post-stage when a voltage level of the electric power stored in the storage part 3 exceeds a prescribed level, and an alarm part 5 for reporting the sliding door is opened/closed by using the electric power stored in the storage part 3 via the power source control part. Particularly, the power generating part 2 is composed of a moving mechanism 21 to be rotated in accordance with the translating of the sliding door and a piezoelectric element 22 for generating an AC pulse voltage by receiving the kinetic energy of the moving mechanism 21.
