PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an electronic mail system which safely, securely, and speedily transfers highly secret information and suppresses the volume of sent and received message data. SOLUTION: A Web server is provided with transmission-side mailboxes C and D and a reception-side mailbox X. The reception-side mailbox X contains a message (1) from D addressed to employees F and G, a message (2) from D addressed to employees E and F, and a message (3) from C addressed to the employees E, F and G. When the employee G refers to messages in the mailbox X, the addresses of all messages are sequentially retrieved based upon the ID of the G as a key and only matching message data are displayed.
