PURPOSE: A color correcting device and a method thereof are provided to make the color of a screen displayed on a monitor equal to a real object for reducing the color deviation according to the video cards or monitor of PCs, thereby reducing the misjudgment in the internet shopping or searching. CONSTITUTION: In a color correcting method, a color correcting software installed in a personal computer is operated first. By reading a standard color sheet with a PC camera, standard color data is obtained and stored in a color-relating information memory unit of the PC(S1). The standard color data is displayed on a screen of a monitor(S2). Images displayed on the screen are read by the PC camera and monitor color data is obtained(S3), thereby comparing the monitor color data with the stored standard color data(S4). If same, the color correcting routine is finished. In the other case, color output relating data of the monitor is corrected to equalize the monitor color data with the standard color data(S5).
