<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a system for accelerating MPEG decode processing by software with a small amount of hardware and method thereof and to realize a high-speed task switch. <P>SOLUTION: In this system in which a CPU 2 is connected with a motion compensation coprocessor 1 through a bus 3, the motion compensation coprocessor 1 is provided with a means having an operational descriptor 12 chainable in each processing unit and for reading data to refer to on the basis of contents of the operational descriptor 12, a means for outputting operation results, a read storage circuit 18 for storing reference data, a write storage circuit 19 for storing the operation results, and a motion compensation computing element 17. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2004,JPO</p> |
