<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain an Internet VoIP adapter in which analog service or Internet service is determined automatically and both services are realized. <P>SOLUTION: The Internet VoIP adapter 1 comprises a splitter 10, an ADSL modem 11, an analog circuit control section 12T, an Ethernet interface (EI/F) 14T, an IP signaling control section 18, and analog service/Internet service switch 13 having a function for connecting an analog circuit to the ADSL circuit 7 side through the circuit control section 12T in response to an off hook signal and a dial signal from an analog terminal 3, a function for exchanging IP address, a function for disconnecting the analog circuit after acquiring the IP address, a function for establishing an Internet call connection using IP signaling protocol, and a function for compressing a voice signal from the terminal 3 before being delivered to the ADSL circuit 7 via the EI/F 14T and the modem 11. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2004,JPO</p> |
