PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image transmitting apparatus capable of transmitting an individual image to each terminal, and reducing the time necessary for image transmission, and conducting image data transmission to a network and image data recording on a HDD (hard disc drive) in parallel with an encoding circuit of one system and a compressing means.

SOLUTION: A memory group 124 for storing compressed data comprises memories of the same number with the inputted video signals. A CPU 125 writes the compressed data into the memory group 124 in the order of compression, and reads the compressed data from the memory group 124 in response to an external request.
