PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To realize the positioning a key to composite on a background image at a low cost by a simple method. SOLUTION: In the case that a mixer circuit 31 applies composition processing to a background signal including a background image and a key fill signal including a composition object image on the basis of a key source signal, a key source delay circuit 21 delays the key source signal by a prescribed time amount. Thus, the position of the key can be moved corresponding to the delayed time. The moving operation of the key position by delaying the key source signal as above can be realized with a fewer memory size in comparison with that of a frame buffer system. COPYRIGHT: (C)2004,JPO
