PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an AM broadcasting radio receiver for searching an AM broadcasting station in a preset receiving state. SOLUTION: The AM broadcasting station searching and electronic-turning radio receiver is provided with: an intermediate frequency voltage detection means 37 for detecting a voltage of an intermediate frequency signal; a voltage decision means 41 for deciding whether or not the voltage of the intermediate frequency signal is equal to or higher than a preset search stop bottom voltage and further deciding whether or not a quantity of fluctuation in the voltage of the intermediate frequency signal is within a preset voltage fluctuation quantity; a clocking means 42 for clocking a period that the voltage of the intermediate frequency signal is equal to or higher than the preset search stop bottom voltage within a preset time; and a time ratio decision means 43 for deciding whether or not a ratio of the preset time and the measured time is equal to or more than a preset time ratio.
