PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a assisting tool for burning a candle which prevents dripping molten wax and the candle with the tool. SOLUTION: The assisting tool comprises: a short cylinder to attach to a candle, opening both ends and having an inside diameter which does not allow the tool to go down by itself due to its own weight when the surface of its internal circumference is in contact with the outer circumference of the candle; and an elongated part from the cylinder of which diameter is gradually narrowed toward the top end of the cylinder so that it gets caught on the circumference of the top end of the candle and forms a pool of wax.
