RECORDING MEDIUM AND REPRODUCING APPARATUS

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To perform analog signal processing by a reproducing apparatus adopting the MAMMOS (Magnetic Amplifying Magneto-Optical System). SOLUTION: The reproducing apparatus is provided with: a reproduction light emission section for emitting a reproduction light to a recording medium stacked with a recording layer with a recording mark formed therein and with a magnetic amplifying reproduction layer to which the recording mark of the recording layer is magnetic-transferred in analog and in which the mark is amplified through the application of an external magnetic field; a magnetic field generating section for generating the external magnetic field; a read section for analogically reading a signal on the basis of the recording mark amplification-transferred to the magnetic amplifying reproduction layer by emitting a reproduction light from the reproduction light emission section to the recording medium and allowing the magnetic field generating section to apply the external magnetic field to the recording medium; and a signal processing section applying prescribed signal processing to the signal read by the read section.
