PURPOSE:To improve the starting characteristic of the LPG engine by compensating and increasing in quantity of the difference between the required fuel flow quantity and the actual fuel quantity during a mode of operation in accordance with the suction air temperature and the engine temperature upon the engine starting and the warming up operation, that is, shortage in the LPG fuel, by gasoline injected from a gasoline injector. CONSTITUTION:When a starting motor is turned ON upon starting, an ON signal 18 is supplied to a control circuit 17 together with a rotational speed signal 20, an engine temperature signal 19, a suction air pressure signal 21 and the like, and as a result, a throttle valve 4 is controlled to an appropriate opening degree through an idling rotational speed control device 15. A gasoline flow quantity signal which compensate for the shortage of LPG computed by the control circuit 17 is outputted to the gasoline injector 14. Thus, a gaseous mixture of an ignitable concentration is produced and the combustion in the LPG engine is completely performed. After the complete explosion, during the warming up operation, compensation for the shortage of LPG is carried out by gasoline injection in accordance with the engine temperature signal 19 and suction air temperature signal 23, and further the engine rotational speed is maintained at a set value by the above controlling device 15. |
