PURPOSE: A method for preparing a yellow soil mud dye and a method for dyeing by using the yellow soil mud dye are provided, to improve the washing fastness by firmly fixing the yellow soil particles adsorbed to fiber. CONSTITUTION: The preparation method of a yellow soil mud dye comprises the steps of (S10, S20) removing impurities from polishing yellow soil; mixing the polishing yellow soil with a weak alkaline water of pH 8-10 to prepare yellow soil clay; (S30) mixing the yellow soil clay with album and raw sugar until bubble is formed; (S40) leaving the mixture when the mixture is separated into the polishing yellow soil mud and the iron component liquid; and (S50, S60) removing the iron component liquid. Preferably the ratio of raw sugar and yellow soil is 1:30 to 1:20 by weight and the ratio of album and raw sugar is 1:50 to 1:100 by weight.
