PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce the communication cost required for remote operation and to improve security. SOLUTION: A device 100 to be operated remotely is provided with a CPU 101 which accepts a remote control instruction given to the device 100 from a remote control terminal 500 through the Internet 300 and a mobile network 200, after causing a portable telephone 108 to execute dial-up access when the CPU 101 is triggered by an incoming telephone call from a portable telephone 600.
