PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a cellular telephone having a built-in imaging device capable of detecting fingerprints, in which a fingerprint detection error hardly occurs, even when a finger is imaged closely to an imaging sensor. SOLUTION: A camera is arranged in a depth portion of the cellular telephone 10 where a finger hardly contacts, and a groove 13 for preventing the finger 12 from contacting the camera 11 and stably positioning the finger 12. Also, a cleaning tool for removing fat and oil components of the fingerprint is built into one part of the camera against a case where the finger contacts a window 14 of the camera accidentally. Furthermore, an illumination source 15 is built in the depth portion to secure an illumination light which is apt to be insufficient due to the finger 12. COPYRIGHT: (C)2004,JPO
