PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a dielectric electronic component such as dielectric filters or dielectric duplexers, etc., which avoids growing burr, peeling extension electrodes, etc., and a method of forming electrodes of the dielectric electronic component. SOLUTION: Here is described a dielectric duplexer 1 embodying the invention. Dielectric ceramic blocks 2 have extension electrode notches 22 and dummy electrode notches 23, each open at one end, formed into open ends 8a of resonators 3A-3C, 4A, 4B, 6. The dummy notches 23 are located at positions facing the extension electrode notches 22 in the thickness direction near one side on which output terminal pads 12r are not formed. The dummy notches 23 are connected in line so that openings of the electrode notches 22 and the dummy notches 23 at the block side face one to one, thereby forming recesses 27 with the faced notches 22, 23. The recesses 27 are filled with a conductive material m to form extension electrodes 20 and dummy electrodes 21. The connected dielectric ceramic blocks 2 are separated from each other.
