PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To recover in a shorter period of time without the temporary interruption of operation even if the display of a monitoring control device fails. SOLUTION: A monitoring control device monitors and controls a control equipment in power plant, and is provided with two processing devices 1A, 1B and display units 2A, 2B which are connected to each of them. The processing device 1A is connected to the control equipment via a network 5, and monitors and controls the control equipment. The other processing device 1B monitors whole control equipment in the control system by information via a communication line 7 connected to the processing device 1A, and switches connection between the processing devices 1A, 1B and the display units 2A, 2B by preparing a display signal switching equipment 10.
