<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To easily input long hand-written image data even if a hand-writing input area is small in an input device applied to an information terminal device such as a portable information communication machine or electronic notebook with a touch panel display screen. <P>SOLUTION: The input device stores a prescribed range (a scroll starting position L) set in the input area 14a of the touch panel 14. When a hand-written image is inputted with a pen or the like in the input area, the pressed coordinate is taken in and corresponding display picture elements are displayed. If the input position by the pen exceeds the prescribed range, the fact is stored.
