PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an electronic camera having multiple photographing functions capable of multiple photographing suitable for a state of a photographing object and having also multiple photographing functions with which a user can photograph second and succeeding pictures by a layout intended by the user in the multiple photographing. SOLUTION: The electronic camera is characterized in that it has: an imaging means for imaging an object image to produce a picture; and an overlapping means for overlapping a plurality of pictures produced by repeating imaging with the imaging means to produce another picture, and that the overlapping means selects: a first overlapping mode wherein a plurality of pictures are weighted and then overlapped; and a second overlapping mode, wherein a plurality of pictures are not weighted and overlapped.
