PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a coaxial connector to facilitate mounting work. SOLUTION: This coaxial connector is furnished with a cylindrical shell 1 mounted free to turn around a conductor of a coaxial cable as its center on an end part of the coaxial cable 5, having an opening for insertion of a coaxial female connector FC on an opposite side end of the coaxial cable, provided with a flat surface vertical in the axial direction on an end part of an inner peripheral surface, provided with a taper surface an opening side position becomes small in diameter continued to this flat surface and which becomes large in diameter toward a side end of the coaxial cable and having at least two pieces of protruded lines projected to the inside in the diametrical direction and extending in the axial direction on a part of this taper surface, at least two pieces of movable engagement pieces 2 on inner peripheral surfaces of which thread grooves to be engaged with a screw thread of the coaxial female connector are formed, one end surfaces of which make contact with the flat surface on the shell and which are arranged in the shell and an extension spring 8 installed on a side end part of the coaxial cable of the shell and to give working force to pressurize the movable engagement pieces toward the flat surface provided on the inner peripheral surface of the shell.
