It is intended to provide compositions usable in treating, preventing or ameliorating diseases caused by tissue fibrosis such as nephritis. Namely, compositions for inhibiting fibrosis or foods for inhibiting fibrosis which contain at least one member selected from among Acacia concinna (Willd.) DC., Acacia leucophloea Willd., plants belonging to the genera Stryphnodendron, Anacardium, Ocotea and Cedrella, press juices of these plants and extracts of these plants.
