<p>A negative electrode having a multilayer structure including a first layer (21) principally comprising carbon, and a second layer (22) principally comprising a material having lithium ion conductivity and capable of occluding and releasing lithium ions, or a multilayer structure including a third layer (23) in addition to the first and second layers, and a lithium secondary cell having that negative electrode. A lithium secondary cell in which the cell capacity is enhanced substantially in the actual working voltage range of the cell while sustaining a high charge/discharge efficiency and good cycle characteristics can be provided.</p> |
