Method for heating and cooling a room uses capillary tube mats (1) as heat exchangers. Heating and/or cooling liquid flows through these at a pressure of 3.0 - 6.0 bars. An Independent claim is included for a heating and cooling system for a room comprising heat exchangers consisting of capillary tube mats. The system is fitted with temperature sensors and smoke detectors which are connected to the pump which controls the flow of heating or cooling liquid.
