A diaphragm pump with a multi-part pump body is described. The pump consists at least of three rigid plates (<bold>201, 203, 205</highlight>) and at least two elastic diaphragms (<bold>204, 202</highlight>) arranged between these plates (<bold>201, 203, 205</highlight>), the plates (<bold>201, 203, 205</highlight>) forming, in particular, a pumping chamber (<bold>211</highlight>) and at least two shut-off chambers (<bold>210, 212</highlight>), in each case with an inlet (<bold>240</highlight>) and an outlet (<bold>241</highlight>) orifice for the conveyable material, and the pumping chambers (<bold>211</highlight>) and shut-off chambers (<bold>210, 212</highlight>) forming, together with an inlet duct (<bold>207</highlight>), the connecting ducts (<bold>208</highlight>) and (<bold>209</highlight>) and an outlet duct (<bold>206</highlight>), a passage duct, the pumping chamber (<bold>211</highlight>) and the shut-off chambers (<bold>210, 212</highlight>) being separated by the diaphragms (<bold>204, 202</highlight>) in each case into a product space (<bold>230, 231, 232</highlight>) and a control space (<bold>220, 221, 222</highlight>), and the control spaces (<bold>220, 221, 222</highlight>) having control lines (<bold>119, 120, 121</highlight>) which are connected to a control unit (<bold>100, 115</highlight>).
