The door has inner and outer skins (1,2) which may be made of wood. The space between them is filled with insulating plastics foam (3) which may be inserted in the form of blocks. The window aperture contains a triple glass pane (8), with its edge held between seals (11,14). On one side the seals are in direct contact with the door skin, and on the other side with a frame piece (16) which engages the edge of the skin. A holder (12) fits inside the frame piece and is screwed (13) to two angle irons (4a,5a) screwed together (6) and screwed (7) to the wooden skins.
