<p>A rotary sorter is disclosed for removing waste material from a fibre suspension. The sorter comprises a screening area formed by a drum rotating within a screen basket, at a constant distance therefrom, about a substantially vertical axis coaxial with the screen basket. The outer periphery of the said drum is provided with sorting elements arranged in staggered formation. The sorting elements are in the form of vanes tapering, substantially in the form of edges, in the direction of rotation, as seen in the radial direction of the surface of the drum.</p> |
