The invention relates to a width-adjustable carrier frame (<bold>1</highlight>) which can be used in household appliances, particularly cooking and baking ovens, for receiving and supporting a grilling rack (<bold>13</highlight>), a tray, a dish (<bold>15</highlight>), a cooking or baking sheet, or the like. According to the invention, the carrier frame (<bold>1</highlight>) consists of at least two cross members (<bold>2</highlight>) with tube-type front-side end areas as well as of two approximately U-shaped carrying bows (<bold>3</highlight>), at least one carrying bow (<bold>3</highlight>) being continuously movable relative to the cross members (<bold>2</highlight>) by means of a worm drive. A carrier frame (<bold>1</highlight>) designed in this manner can be comfortably adapted by the operation of the worm drive to interiors of different widths of household appliances. This permits a continuous adaptation in a simple manner. If required, the carrier frame (<bold>1</highlight>) can also virtually be pressed onto the interior walls of a household appliance by means of the worm drive and can therefore be force-lockingly fixed and thus sufficiently secured against an unintentional pulling-out.
