The universal paint spraying gun (1) has a paint channel (6) which has two sealable connectors, one (7) of which is for a paint feed unit for a paint hose (21) or control unit for a paint feed unit, and one connector (8) for a paint pot. An air inlet opens out into the barrel (2) of the gun and is controlled by a switch (12), whereby the air from the barrel is transferred into the head (3) of the paint spray gun. A valve seat (10) is installed in the paint channel behind the connector (8) in the direction of the head.
