METHOD FOR MAKING SECURE A LINK BETWEEN A DATA TERMINAL AND A LOCAL COMPUTER NETWORK, AND DATA TERMINAL THEREFOR

The invention concerns a method for making secure a link, for instance a radio link, between a data terminal (PDA2) and a local computer network (WLAN2) which is connected to a mobile radiotelephone network (PLMN2) comprising an authentication center (AU2). Said method consists in: connecting (L3) the data terminal (PDA2) to a radiotelephone terminal (T2) including means (SIM3) for executing a procedure capable of making secure a radio link between said radiotelephone terminal (T2) and the radiotelephone network (PLMN2), said procedure consisting in particular in a data exchange with the radiotelephone network (PLMN2), said exchange being usually supported by a radio link between the radiotelephone terminal (T2) and the radiotelephone network (PLMN2); executing, in the radiotelephone terminal (T2), the same procedure, but causing the information exchange to be supported by a link (L4) between the data exchange terminal (PDA2) and the local computer network (WLAN2), and through an interoperable link (IL2) connecting the local computer network (WLAN2) and the radiotelephone network (PLMN2); then transferring the result of said procedure of the radiotelephone terminal (T2) to the data terminal (PDA2).
