<p>PURPOSE:To obtain good dust collecting capacity at low voltage, by applying voltages with different polarities to a base plate provided with a large number of dielectric materials each formed into a wire shape by processing a charge member and the opposed member. CONSTITUTION:Dirty particles flowed into an exterior frame 1 along with air from a suction port 11 are charged in an electrostatic field to be electrostatically attracted to a charge member 42 or the opposed member 43 and, as result, air is filtered through a filtering part 4. The electrostatic field generated around the charge member 42 is more intensive at the leading end of the charge member 42 because static electricity largely appears toward an elongated shape and, therefore, dirty particles are largely attracted to the leading end of the charge member 42. In this case, the intensity of the electrostatic field can be more enhanced by forming the leading end of the charge member 42 into a pointed shape and, whereby, dust collecting capacity is improved by a low voltage power source.</p> |
