The interior component has an air chamber (1) on the side facing towards the passenger compartment which is filled with pressurized air, the outer wall of the air chamber made of an elastic material. The rear of the component has at least one fixing projection which is hollow for expansion upon supply of pressurized air for providing a secure connection with a counter-piece provided by the automobile body, a hollow space (4) provided between the rear of the component and the automobile body.
