<p>PURPOSE:To speed up the driving of a display keyboard and to make a high- speed response by driving the display keyboard on static basis and using a conventional dynamic basis to drive a display part. CONSTITUTION:A liquid crystal display device which has the display part and display keyboard both composed of a liquid crystal panel 6 drives the display keyboard on static basis. For the purpose, one electrode uses a transparent electrode and serves as a common electrode, and plural picture elements made of transparent electrodes provided in a matrix opposite to said electrode are provided with conductor lines individually and connected to a driving circuit and a signal circuit. This constitution enters an off state in a low electric field to speed up the operation. Retrieval by a detector controller 5 requires plural scans, but this retrieval time is shortened to drive the keyboard at a high speed, speeding up the response.</p> |
