<p>A first seal line SL1 is set to surround the outer circumference of an exhaust gas hole (3) and a second seal line SL2 is set along the outer circumference of a substrate (2) which is then bent along both seal lines to form protruding full beads (6, 7). Elastic sealing materials (8-11) having the substantially same height as the protrusions are bonded to the protrusions and a flat plane continuous to their convex surfaces. The elastic sealing materials having a flat plane are set to cover the substrate (2) up to the position of an opening, e.g. the exhaust gas hole (3), or the circumferential end position of the substrate (2). Furthermore, recesses located on the rear side of the protrusions are filled with elastic sealing materials (12, 13). A metal gasket in which a stabilized sealing performance can be ensured over a long term is thereby provided at a low cost.</p> |
