<p>The invention concerns a method for controlling the presence of an identifying badge (2) inside the passenger compartment of the vehicle (Int) for a hands-free identification system including an identifying device (1) adapted to exchange electromagnetic signals with the identifying badge, comprising the following successive steps: detecting an indication that the vehicle is operating; emitting through the identifying device (2) a first signal (Sa) in said zone; cyclically emitting through the identifying badge (2) on receiving said first signal (Sa) a reply signal (S2) for a specific time interval (D), such that a subsequent output of the identifying badge (2) from the passenger compartment (Int) can be detected when the identifying device (1) no longer receives an emitted reply signal (S2). The invention is particularly applicable to hands-free systems for motor vehicle.</p> |
