The flaps (4) of the lower section of the box (1) are glued to the edges of an insert on 1, 2, 3 or 4 sides. The attachment is by flat strip or spot gluing. The edge of the insert heightwise conforms to the longitudinal and side edges of the box so that a uniform gluing is possible. A lid which is stronger or made of another type of material is glued to the thin-walled box. The flaps in their contour are adapted to the insert.
