The blind consists of a roller length (4) on a winder shaft (2), an actuator element connected to the free edge of the length, and a drive unit (8,9) to un/wind the length. The flexible or jointed winder shaft is located near the upper frame (13) of the vehicle window (11,12) or in the neighboring roof area. The roller length is elastically deformable at right angles to its movement direction. The winder shaft is adapted to the shape of the upper window frame edge. It is permanently curved and flexible, or consists of rigid shaft elements with cardan connections.
