The device (1) can be either made of one piece of perforated metal and bent into a cylindrical shape or of three or four sheets of perforated metal swivel mounted to vertical bars (7) as a foldable version. Three or four short legs (6) are attached to the lower edges. The device (1) is positioned in the center of the charcoal container, a firelighter is lit and charcoal inserted from the top. The air guided through the holes (2) and through the gap underneath the device (1) assists in the quick generation of the heat required for grilling.
