<p>PURPOSE:To shorten the processing time of a see-through type data input device by deciding through a position information control part whether the position information given from a touch panel exists in a prescribed effective input position area and then sending a signal showing the position area to a host computer if said position information exists within the position area. CONSTITUTION:The information on an effective input position area corresponding to the contents of information displayed on a CRT display screen of a CRT display device is sent to a position information control part 3 from a host computer via an interface 4 to be stored in a prescribed area of an RAM3c by a command given from a microcomputer 3a. The effective input position area is divided into areas I -III. An operator selects an item to be supplied and touches a touch panel 1. Thus the position information showing the address of the touched part is sent from the panel 1. This position information is fetched into an input port 3d and then recorded temporarily to the RAM3c by a command of the computer 3a. Then the fetched position information is collated with the effective input position area to decide whether the position information is within the position area.</p> |
