The telephone transmitter (16) is connected via a line (20) to a low-pass filter (22). The terminals (10,12) of the filter are connected to the telephone lines. A PC (32) is similarly connected (36) to a high-pass filter (34) feeding signals to the telephone line. A low-pass filter (24) and a high-pass filter (44) at the other end of the line separate the telephone and the PC signals. The telephone signals pass to a telephone exchange (18) and a telephone network (28). The PC signals go to an interface circuit (38) and then to the Internet (40).
