SURGE PROTECTION CARTRIDGE

A surge protection cartridge which is rugged, is easy to use and economical is disclosed. The cartridge (10) has a housing (12), a series of tip terminals (14) and ring terminals (15) mounted to the housing, a guide strip (16) frictionally mounted to the housing, two attachment clips (18, 20) and a cover (22). The guide strip includes surge protection device pads with a plurality of holes. The side walls of the housing are shortened to allow hand installation and removal of the devices and the cover is used to protect the devices. The attachment clips connect the housing to a standard telecommunication frame and to a modular terminal block assembly.
