An endoscope hood (10), comprising a projected part (10c) projecting in the direction of observation view of an endoscope (1) provided at the tip of a tubular press-fit fixed part (10b) fitted, by press-fitting, to the tip part (2) of an endoscope insert part (5) in the state of the peripheral installation position thereof positioned in a proper direction, and an installation state confirmation means for warning an improper installation state by increasing the area of the projected part (10c) reflected in an endoscope observation image when the press-fit fixed part (10b) is fitted to the tip part of a second endoscope insert part (5b) of a size different from a properly installable first endoscope insert part (5a).
