The device for the coating of moving material webs with low to high viscosity coating materials has a guide roller (1), the axis (3) of which is positionally variable in a plane relative to the axis (4) of a transfer roller (5) which is a construction element equipped with a precision cylinder. In the direction of rotation of the transfer roller, after the contact with the guide roller, a cleaning blade (6) is installed on the surface (7) of the transfer roller. A collecting tray (8) for surplus coating material is installed at least below the cleaning blade.
