A pipe (1) filled with heated medium, acting as heating insulation, extends from the surface (3) to a depth at which the static water pressures attain that of the pipe medium. At high static water pressures, the heat insulation round the pipe consists for most of its volume of gelled fluid. The pipe (1) has a bottom intake funnel (8) to be fixed like a tent or canopy to the seabed (4), the pipe additionally fitted out with subsea drives at the funnel end. A boring fitted with injector pump is run down into the seabed. In its lower reach, the pipe divides into two pipes, each with its own intake funnel.
