The invention concerns an isolated nucleic acid containing a nucleic acid sequence derived from an alternative splicing in the gagpol region of a MLV (murine leukemia virus) and encoding a SD' protein capable of increasing the infectivity of viral vectors. The invention also concerns vectors derived from viruses, more particularly from retroviruses, for production of packaging line and the viral particles produced by said packaging lines.
