A three-wheeled device (10</highlight>) for pedal-powered riding, wherein the device (10</highlight>) provides a substantial but not excessive riding challenge. The preferred device (10</highlight>) broadly comprises three wheels (12</highlight>); two shafts (14</highlight>); and two pedals (16</highlight>). The wheels (12</highlight>) are oriented parallel to one another so as to rotate about a common axis. Each shaft extends between and couples (14</highlight>) two of the wheels (12</highlight>) in an offset manner. Bearings (26</highlight>) may be provided to facilitate movement of the shafts relative to the wheels (12</highlight>) by reducing friction therebetween. Each pedal (16</highlight>) is coupled with a different one of the shafts (14</highlight>). For added safety, the pedals (16</highlight>) may include non-slip contact surfaces (30</highlight>) and light reflectors (32</highlight>). In use, a rider stands on the pedals (16</highlight>) and applies force thereto, with the force being transferred via the shafts (14</highlight>) to the wheels (12</highlight>) which are thereby caused to roll.
