PURPOSE:To provide the titled scarfing equipment to improve further the quality of steel materials without causing flaws on the surface of steel materials even when the scarfing equipment and steel material come in contact by providing a roller on the part coming in contact with the steel material of the scarfing equipment to scarfing the surface of steel material by the jet of a high temp. flame. CONSTITUTION:A scarfing equipment 20 equips the shoe 23 providing inside with the rotatable state the roller 22 which is provided so as to be in contact with rolling on the surface of a steel material 21. A head 24 is equipped as well on the upper part of the shoe 23 and further the heat block 27 to incorporate the O2 nozzle 25 having the prescribed working angle and C2H2 gas nozzle 26 is fitted to the head 24 with the shoe 23 as the basis. It therefore becomes a rolling contact by the roller 22 being rotated even when the equipment 20 and steel material 21 are in contact at weld cutting time. The generation of scratch flaws on the surface of steel material 21 can be prevented since this is not the case of a sliding contact as in the past.
