X = 2-6C alkylene optionally substituted by 1-4C alkyl, OH or 1-4C alkoxy; R1 = H, 1-4C alkyl, 1-4C monohydroxyalkyl, 2-4C polyhydroxyalkyl, 1-4C alkoxy-1-4C alkyl or halo; R2 = H, 1-4C alkyl, 1-4C monohydroxyalkyl, 2-4C polyhydroxyalkyl or 1-4C alkoxy-1-4C alkyl; and R3-R5 = H, OH, 1-4C alkyl, 1-4C alkoxy, NH2, 1-4C alkylamino or halo. An Independent claim is included for dyeing keratinic fibers by applying the above composition and then rinsing off.
