Controls (6a, 6b) are provided for each slave drive (4) using a central control unit (5). The drives are synchronized with respect to rotational speed and angular setting prescribed by a master drive (3). Master-synchronous values are determined and prescribed for each operating time of respective slave drive using a synchronization function that is determined based on operating values of the master drive. An Independent claim is also included for a device for synchronizing a machine drive combination having a master and a slave drive.
